The National Agricultural Show was established in 2007 as a strategic tripartite initiative uniting the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), the Nasarawa State Government (NSSG), and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Born out of the urgent need to create a dedicated national convocation, it serves as the premier annual benchmark for Nigerian agricultural progress.
Formally incorporated in 2008 as the National Agricultural Foundation of Nigeria (NAFN), the Foundation operates with a statutory non-governmental mandate to organize the annual show, advocate agricultural policy harmonization, foster public-private agribusiness investment, and empower grassroots farming communities across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
